Our Projects

The creators of many of the UK's finest gardens, both public and private, are regular clients of TENDERCARE. Many of these gardens are being returned to their former glory by major renovations including replanting of mature specimens.

TENDERCARE was chosen by the Royal Parks to recreate the Privy Garden at Hampton Court, and that of English Heritage in the creation of a mature garden at Walmer Castle for the late Queen Mother. More recently, TENDERCARE has been the principal supplier of large plants for the restoration of Battersea Park.

TENDERCARE also supplies the majority of television gardening programmes, including Ground Force, Real Gardens, Charlie's Army, Better Gardens and Planted.

The Oval cricket ground
Captivated in their millions on television and in their tens of thousands at the Oval cricket ground in September when England won the Ashes, a vast audience also experienced the spectacular hanging gardens 200m long and 20m high adorning the back of the newly constructed stand. The two thousand mature climbers which include: Clematis, Sweet Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Passion Flowers and Ivies were all grown, supplied and installed by Tendercare. Owzat!!!

"I've been involved in historic restorations of parks for English Heritage and the Countryside Commission for the last eight years, and have been immensely impressed with TENDERCARE. The plants, quality, packaging, delivery and administration and overall service is second to none."

Glenn Humphreys,
Conservation and Development Manager for Bath & Northeast Somerset.

"TENDERCARE is one of my favourite places to go shopping whether it be for my own garden or for Homefront. The relaxed atmosphere, the professional service, the choice and quality of their stock, their efficiency and their humour make every visit worthwhile."

Diarmuid Gavin,
Presenter of BBC's Homefront in the Garden.
