Plant Selections

Hedging is commonly used to delineate spaces and boundaries
within or around gardens. It is kept low and clipped in formal gardens,
and is often used as a parterre.
There are distinctive types of hedging from the low or dwarf types that
can be clipped easily into tight formal lines, or the larger varieties
that form natural boundaries, as typified by species such as beech, hornbeam
or leylandii.
Small to medium sized hedges such as yew, holly and privet are also popular
choices as are the informal flowering types such as Spireae vibernum.
TENDERCARE has acres of choice evergreen specimens, multi-stemmed shrubs
and trimmed ‘instant’ hedging. Many of our specimens are of
varieties that are not available from the huge Italian and German nurseries,
used so frequently by importers. They are produced specially by us for
the British market in acres dedicated specifically to hedging. All our
hedging is grown and selected for its quality. Varieties are listed in
detail on our plant database
