Concierge/Receptionist/Customer Service advisor and Showroom Retail Assistant
At Tendercare, one of the leading suppliers of specimen plants in the UK for over 30 years, two new fantastic opportunities have arisen for proactive and charismatic people to join us at our nurseries based in Denham, Middlesex. The first for the position of Concierge/Receptionist/Customer Service advisor and the second to work alongside the Concierge as a Showroom Retail Assistant.
Based in our wonderful newly redeveloped garden shop/glasshouse, the Concierge will be the first point of contact for our customers and provide a welcoming greeting service answering enquiries and directing our clients to the correct members of our team who will assist them in finding exactly what they need to transform their home and gardens.
Tendercare also offer a variety of garden design and landscaping services about which you will advise our customers, passing relevant enquiries to our Design Services and Landscape Teams who will then follow them up.
Responsible for the presentation of the reception and outdoor living area. You will use your creativity and flair to set up and maintain our displays and for the merchandising and replenishment of our products.
You will have the overall responsibility for cashing up at the end of each day, to include the credit card machine, closing routines and some administration tasks.
Working alongside our Concierge, 18-39 hours between the hours of 09.00 and 18.00 Monday to Saturday, will be our Showroom Retail Assistant. Your role will be to ‘parent’ our plants with the love and attention they need, drive sales by ensuring your performance is of a consistently high standard, and provide excellent customer service to create a relaxed environment that our clients will want to re-visit.
In order to be considered for these exciting roles, it is essential that you have the following key skills and competencies:
A demonstrable interest in garden plants.
Good organisational skills
Self motivated and a strong team player
Good telephone manner and customer facing skills
Attention to detail with presentation and pricing of products
Accuracy with figures
Previous retail experience (for the role of Showroom Retail Assistant)
Administration experience for the role of Concierge. (In house training will be provided as needed).
These positions would suit someone with an RHS qualification or who would like to train for a career in horticulture.
Hours of Work: Full time and part time hours available to include Saturdays. (Sundays may be a requirement on rota basis later in the season)
