Green Walls & Vertical Planting

Tendercare has installed green walls for many years and offers two main systems, each suited to different situations and requirements.

Modular pocket based systems create beautiful green walls that combine colour, texture and form using plants from a carefully selected palette, proven to thrive in the green wall environment.

      

 

Green wall modular systems rely on pocket-based planting in pre-formed modules measuring 800mm x 600mm, each with 16 plant pockets. These are usually pre-planted prior to delivery on site when they are mounted onto a steel frame system that can be adapted to suit different situations. An automatic irrigation system would be incorporated into the installation with an option to add a Dosatron nutrient feed unit. Lighting can also be added.

Plant species differ depending on the orientation and we have proven-palettes for both sunny or shaded aspects, interior or exterior.

 

             

 

Steel cable systems can also create effective green walls by training carefully selected climbing plants vertically up taught steel cables secured to the building. The plants would be grown directly in the ground below if possible or in large troughs with sufficient soil volume to allow plants to thrive long into the future.

As well as design and installation we offer a maintenance service to ensure all vertical planting remains healthy in the future
